A. Unless service is terminated, all metered structures/users shall be assessed a monthly water rate, for each meter, to recover costs of operations, maintenance of systems, debt service and replacement fund for water facilities.
B. The water charge shall be in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and as per the following rate schedule:

C. In addition to the monthly base rate, the customer shall be charged for the quantity of water used during the billing period which exceeds the amount of the base allowance, which commodity charge shall be at the rate of twenty five cents ($0.25) per one thousand (1,000) gallons or less per month.
D. All rates for water shall be due and payable on or before the tenth day of the month following the thirty (30) day billing cycle. If any customer fails to pay the bill by the due date, the customer will be mailed up to two (2) past due notices. The first past due notice will state that the customer will have seven (7) days from the date on the notice to pay the bill in full. A second and final past due notice will be sent seven (7) days from the date of the first past due notice. The customer has seven (7) days from the date on the second and final notice to pay the bill in full, plus an additional late fee of ten dollars ($10.00) or customer service will be shut off. If a customer service is shut off, there will an additional fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) to have the water turned back on. (Ord. 188, 5-14-2013)
