5-1-4: SECOND STREET STOP SIGNS:
Second Street, running east and west through the town, shall be considered a through street. At intersections of all streets and alleys running north and south and coming into Second Street, there shall be erected a signal, sign or marker with the warning "STOP" plainly stamped, printed, stenciled or painted thereon in such colors and in such manner that the word "stop" will be plainly visible to the driver or operator of any motor vehicle. It shall be the duty of all such drivers or operators of said motor vehicle, when approaching said sign or signal in the town, to come to a complete stop with said motor vehicle within at least twenty feet (20') thereof, and shall not proceed until the street is clear and safe to travel.
