§ 96.03 DOG PARK RULES.
   (A)   The city hereby establishes a dog park the location of which is the Walter Hagedorn Park east of the swimming pool and the tennis courts known as the old softball field.
   (B)   As a part of the operation of this park, there are certain rules hereby adopted which are to govern the use and access to said park by those people who qualify to use the park as follows:
      (1)   Hours for usage of the park are from sunrise to sunset.
      (2)   This park is for the use of dogs only and those dogs must wear a collar, have an owner identification tag attached to the collar, and a tag which verifies that the dogs are current on all vaccinations.
      (3)   All dogs who enter the park must be on a leash when entering and exiting the park. Pinch or prong collars and spike collars are prohibited to be used by the dogs within the park.
      (4)   No children under six years of age are allowed in the park and those children under the age of 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Any such children in the park must not provoke any such dogs and such children should not run or chase any dogs within the park.
      (5)   No dogs under the age of four months are allowed within the park.
      (6)   The owners or custodians of the dogs must be within the park and within view of their dogs at all times that the dogs are within the park. Female dogs in heat and aggressive dogs are not permitted within the park.
      (7)   All dogs within the park who do not have a leash must be under the voice control of their owners or custodians. Those dogs which cannot be voice controlled by their owners or custodians shall be under leash at all times within the park.
      (8)   No dog food is to be brought within the park.
      (9)   The owners or custodians of the dogs must clean up the dog feces. All such feces should be sealed in provided plastic bags before disposing of the same in designated receptacles within the park.
      (10)   If a dog within the park digs holes, the owner or custodian must fill in any such holes from the materials provided by the city at that location.
      (11)   Upon request of a police officer or animal control officer, proof of a current rabies vaccination is required.
      (12)   Failure to abide by these park rules may result in loss of privileges to the owners or custodians of the dog.
