§ 73.11 PARKING FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.
   (A)   A resident of the city who has physical disabilities which impair that person’s ability to ambulate from his or her motor vehicle to his or her residence can request a disabled parking restriction in front of their residence for assistance in ingress and egress to their home.
   (B)   Such a person must provide adequate written documentation to the Board of Public Works and Safety to show that they qualify for such disability parking restriction. The adequacy of such written documentation shall be in the sole discretion of the Board of Public Works and Safety.
   (C)   Upon qualifying for such restricted disability parking privileges, the applicant should pay a fee of $50 to the Clerk-Treasurer of the city, and the city Street Department shall then adequately post a sign(s) which shall reflect that such area(s) in the sum of 20 feet is a disability parking area(s) and that a violation of this restricted parking area will result in the towing of the motor vehicle parked in violation of the disability restricted parking.
   (D)   The city Police Department will have the authority to tow any motor vehicles parked in violation of this schedule in a location where the person violating the disability restricted parking would then have to pay a fee for the towing and possible storage of that motor vehicle which is in violation of this schedule.
   (E)   When the resident no longer needs the restricted disability parking area, that person or his or her representative shall then notify the Clerk-Treasurer of the city, and the restricted parking in that area(s) will then be immediately terminated and returned to its status as normal parking.
