§ 33.03 RULES OF CONDUCT AND DUTIES OF FIREFIGHTERS.
   (A)   Every hose company and every hook and ladder company shall be officered and governed according to rules and regulations as the organization shall prescribe, subject to the approval and ratification of the Common Council.

   (B)   If any firefighter shall neglect to do his or her duty as firefighter, or shall disobey or refuse to obey the orders of his of her superior officers, or, if he or she shall leave while at a fire, without permission from the Chief Engineer or officer in command, he or she shall for so doing be subject to expulsion from the Fire Department. The Chief Engineer is hereby authorized, and it is made his or her duty, to dismiss from any and every company connected with the Fire Department all firefighters acting in violation of this section.
   (C)   No person shall be elected a member of any fire company unless he or she is able bodied, has become a resident of the city, and is over 21 and under 45 years of age.
   (D)   It shall be the duty of the captain of each company, after each fire, to call and take a roll of its members and report the same within a reasonable time to the Chief Engineer, who shall report and present the same to the Common Council at its first regular meeting thereafter.
