(A) The customer who has not contracted for service for a specified term may have service discontinued by giving notice at TCED's office of the date on which the customer desires that service be discontinued. TCED will endeavor to obtain the final meter reading on the date the customer specifies in his or her notice, but shall not be obligated to do so unless the customer's notice provides TCED at least three working days. The customer shall be obligated to pay for service rendered to the premises until the final meter reading is obtained by TCED.
(B) The customer who has contracted for service for a specified time may have service discontinued by giving notice at TCED's office and agreeing to pay for service used to the date of disconnection. The customer shall also be liable for the minimum charges which would be due TCED for the remaining period of the contract in accordance with the contract provisions. The customers who have service contracts must satisfy all of the terms of the contract at or following the last day of service in accordance with this subchapter, in addition to any terms and conditions provided in the service contract.
