(A) The city shall purchase and procure workmen's compensation insurance to insure the members of the Police Department under the provisions of the State Workmen's Compensation Act, and the provisions of the Act shall apply to the members of the Police Department who are also members of the Policemen's Pension Fund, and the premiums therefor shall be paid out of the funds of the city.

(B) All members of the Police Department must maintain their residence within 15 miles of the corporate boundaries of the city, and within the county, and must also have adequate means of transportation into the city and maintain telephone service either by land line to their residence or adequate cell phone service.
