§ 112.02 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DOOR-TO-DOOR SOLICITATION. The act of selling or offering to sell any merchandise. DOOR-TO-DOOR SOLICITATION shall also include solicitations for charitable causes.
   PERSON. Any human being, partnership, association or corporation.
   TRANSIENT MERCHANT.  Any person or persons who engage in the vending or selling of merchandise at any place within the corporate limits of the city temporarily, and who do not intend to become, and do not become, a permanent merchant within the corporate limits of the city, except that TRANSIENT MERCHANT shall not mean any group of persons or merchants who engage in the vending or selling of fresh produce at or near City Hall or other designated locations in the city after approval by the Board of Public Works during the months of June, July and August only of each year.
