   (A)   No person or persons shall exhibit or participate in exhibiting any show, theater, concert or other exhibition of whatever name or description within the corporate limits of the city, for which an admission fee is charged or received, either directly or indirectly, without first procuring a license therefor from the City Clerk-Treasurer; provided, however, that this section shall not be construed as to include lectures of scientific, historic or literary subjects.
   (B)   The Clerk-Treasurer shall issue a license for any theater, performance, show or amusement not excepted by division (A) above on payment by the person to the Clerk-Treasurer of the sums hereinafter set forth: for one day the sum of $15, and for each additional day thereafter the sum of $5.
   (C)   Any person, firm or corporation desiring to conduct any theatrical, magical, musical, minstrel or any other show or amusement or shooting gallery, skating rink, museum, merry go round or other similar carnival rides shall first secure a license to do so from the Clerk-Treasurer. This license shall particularly describe the premises where the proposed amusement or entertainment is to be conducted, and the term for which the license is issued. The license fee to be paid for each separate show, theater or amusement, as aforementioned, shall be as follows: for each day $15, and $5 per day for each day thereafter. No license issued under the provisions of this section shall be assignable or transferable to any other person, firm or corporation or any other location.
