(A) The Board of Public Works and Safety shall place and maintain official traffic-control devices when and as required under this code to make its provisions effective.
(B) It may place and maintain any additional official traffic-control devices as it may deem necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic under this code or the state vehicle laws.
