For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply, unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CITY STREET. Any roadway maintained by the City of Tell City, to include streets, alleys, and some unimproved rights-of-way within the corporate limits of the City of Tell City. This does not include any U.S. highway or state highway that may simultaneously have a local street name.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. An off road vehicle owner's or a golf cart owner's ability to pay for damages or injuries that result from a crash.
GOLF CART. Shall have the same meaning herein as defined in I.C. 9-13-2-69.7, or as it may be amended or replaced.
OFF ROAD VEHICLE. Shall be defined and shall have the same meaning herein as set forth in I.C. 14-8-2-185, or as it may be amended or replaced.
OPERATOR. A person in physical control of a golf cart or off road vehicle.
SLOW-MOVING VEHICLE SIGN. A triangular emblem symbolizing a vehicle that operates at speeds less than 25 miles per hour and approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation and meeting all standards set forth by the American Society of Agricultural Engineers.
