§ 90.22 INOCULATION TAGS.
   (A)   (1)   The owner of a dog or cat shall, within ten days after such dog or cat has been inoculated against rabies, procure an inoculation tag from the county. The cost of the tag shall be determined and set by the County Board. The owner of a dog or cat shall cause the inoculation tag to be attached to a collar or harness to be worn by the animal whenever the animal is not confined in a secure enclosure. Valid rabies inoculation tags and certificates from other counties shall be honored while the animal is in transit or while the dog or cat is being kept in the county for 30 days or less.
      (2)   This division (A) does not apply to feral cats.
   (B)   If an animal is not registered, such dog or cat may be impounded by the Animal Shelter Manager or delegate and may be redeemed or disposed of in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
   (C)   The provisions of this section shall not apply to barn cats maintained under a barn cat caretaker license in accordance with other provisions of this chapter.
