Where the Land Use Committee finds that extraordinary hardships may result from strict compliance with this chapter, it may recommend to the County Board a modification of the regulations so that substantial justice may be done and the public interest secured, provided that such modification will not have the effect of nullifying the comprehensive land use plan or this chapter. A fee in the amount of $200 shall be paid, by the developer/owner, for the processing of the application for each modification and shall be collected by the Plat Officer.
