§ 157.541 PURPOSE.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the Land Use Committee shall:
   (A)   Serve as the oversight committee for the Department of Community Development and to handle all matters upon which the county’s zoning ordinance requires action by a committee of the County Board;
   (B)   Work in cooperation with the Community Development Administrator and Land Use Planner in reviewing and recommending any necessary changes to the County Board for zoning, subdivision, manufactured/mobile home, and nuisance ordinances and resolutions;
   (C)   Review zoning case applications, the report of the ZBA, the recommendation of the Community Development Administrator and Land Use Planner, and make a recommendation of approval or denial of the findings of fact and recommendation by the ZBA to the County Board. The Land Use Committee may also recommend to the County Board to table zoning cases or refer back to the ZBA for further consideration; and
   (D)   Work in cooperation with the Land Use Planner and appropriate agencies by recommending for adoption, or amendments to, the long range comprehensive plan or portion thereof for the use of land, for protection of the environment, and to coordinate economic development.
