VII: RESOLUTION OF JUNE 1, 2021

   ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION AMENDING BY ORDINANCE TITLE 5 - PUBLIC WORKS

   WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-102, entitled Amendment by Ordinance, sets forth the required procedures that municipalities must follow if an amendment or change to their Charter is proposed; and

   WHEREAS, the Tovm of Taylorsville is governed by a five-member board elected every four years consisting of four councilmembets and the mayor, and

   WHEREAS, the governing body of the Town of Taylorsville seeks to make utility billing and collections more effective; and

   WHEREAS, the Town Board of Councilmembers desire to change the billing and collection dates for every month for utility payments; and

   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Councilmembers of the Town of Taylorsville will adopt this Resolution Amending the Town Charter by Ordinance VII for the purpose of formally changing the billing date for utility payments from the 15th of each month to the 20th of each month and changing the billing cycle for utility payments from the 10th of each month to the 15th of each month.
