§ 153.01 STATUTORY AUTHORIZATION.

(A) The legislature of the state has in G.S. Ch. 143, Art. 21, Part 6, and G.S. Ch. 160A, Art. 8 and Art. 19, Parts 3, 5, and 8 delegated to local governmental units the responsibility to adopt regulations designed to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare.

(B) The Town Council does ordain the following chapter.
