The following rates are hereby fixed as the maximum rates for services rendered by taxicabs within the limits of the town: For each passenger, $2 for the first mile or fraction of a mile traveled, and $1.75 for each additional mile or major fraction of a mile traveled. In addition to the regular fare, a charge of $.50 for each stop requested by any passenger en route to his or her destination; a charge of $.50 for each piece of baggage or large parcel which the driver is requested to assist the passenger in loading and/or unloading; and a charge of $.25 per minute for each minute of waiting time in excess of five minutes.
