§ 98.01 TOWN MATHESON PARK BOARD ESTABLISHED.
   (A) There is hereby created and established a Town Matheson Park Board which shall consist of nine members, citizens and residents of this town, who shall be appointed by the Mayor with approval of the Town Board of Commissioners.
   (B) The term of the nine persons to be appointed by the Mayor shall be as follows: The term of three members of the first Board shall be for three years; the term of three members of the first Board shall be two yeas; and the terms of three members of the first Board shall be for one year. In the event that a vacancy shall occur during the term of any member, his or her successor shall be appointed by the Mayor for the unexpired portion of the term. All members can serve a second term. Carl Matheson or a member of his immediate family shall be made an ex-officio member of the Board. Members of the Matheson Park Board shall serve without compensation.
   (C)   It shall be the responsibility of the Board to study, investigate, counsel, and develop and/or update annually, and administer a written plan for the care and preservation of Matheson Park. Such plan will be presented annually to the Town Board and upon their acceptance and approval shall constitute the official comprehensive town park plan. The Board, when requested by the Town Board, shall consider, investigate, make findings, report, and recommend upon any special matter of question coming within the scope of its work.
   (D)   The Board shall choose its own officers, make its own rules and regulations and keep a journal of its proceedings. A majority of the members shall be a quorum for the transaction of business.
