It shall be the duty of each owner, agent, or occupant of every house or business establishment now in the town or that may be hereafter built in the town, to cause such house or business establishment to be numbered by placing a number in numerals not less than two inches in height in some conspicuous place in front of the building. The Town Clerk shall furnish the number to any person on application, which number shall correspond with that number respectively assigned on the official street name map of the town on file in the office of the Town Clerk.
