§ 52.30 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   AUTHORITY. The Tatamy Borough Sewer Authority, a Pennsylvania municipal authority.
   BOROUGH. The Borough of Tatamy, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, a political subdivision acting by and through Borough Council, or in appropriate case, by and through its authorized representatives.
   IMPROVED PROPERTY. Any property located within the borough upon which there is erected a structure (occupied building) intended for continuous or periodic habitation or occupancy, for any purpose whatsoever by human beings or animals and from which structure sanitary sewage and/or industrial waste shall be or may be discharged.
   LATERAL. The part of the sewer system extending from sewer to the curb line, or if there shall be no curb line, to the property line, or if no such lateral shall be provided, then LATERAL shall mean that portion of or place in a sewer which is provided for connection of any building’s sewer.
   OCCUPIED BUILDING. Each single dwelling unit, household unit, flat or apartment unit, store, shop, office, business or industrial unit, or family unit contained within any structure erected within 150 feet from the sewer system, and intended for continuous or periodic habitation, occupancy or use by human beings or animals, and from which structure sanitary sewage is, or may be, discharged.
   OWNER. Any person vested with ownership, legal or equitable, sole or partial, of any improved property.
   PERSON. Any individual, partnership, company, association, society, corporation or other group or entity.
   PROPERTY ACCESSIBLE TO THE SEWER SYSTEM. Improved property which adjoins, abuts on, or is adjacent to, the sewage collection system.
   SANITARY SEWAGE. The normal water-carried household and toilet waste discharged from any improved property.
   SEWER. Any pipe or conduit constituting a part of the sewer system used or useable for sewage collection purposes.
   SEWER SYSTEM. All facilities, as of any particular time, for collecting, pumping, transporting, treating and/or disposing sanitary sewage and/or industrial waste, situate in the Borough.
