(A) The positions of Borough Treasurer and Borough Secretary are and shall hereafter be combined into one position as permitted by 8 Pa.C.S. § 1104.
(B) The new position shall be known as Secretary/Treasurer.
(C) The Borough Council shall from time to time appoint a person to serve as Secretary/Treasurer which person shall be ultimately answerable to the Borough Council.
(D) The Secretary/Treasurer, after reviving the permission of the Borough Council, shall be permitted to appoint such assistants and subordinates as are deemed necessary.
(E) The duties and obligation of Borough Secretary/Treasurer shall, at a minimum, be those imposed by the laws of the commonwealth.
(F) Other duties, the rate of pay and all other matters pertaining to the Secretary/Treasurer shall be established by Council upon a vote of the majority of the members present at any regular or special meeting of Council.
(G) The Secretary/Treasurer shall serve at the pleasure of the Borough Council.
