555.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)    "Noxious weeds" means those prohibited and secondary noxious weeds as determined by the Ohio Director of Agriculture pursuant to Ohio R.C. 907.10 (B)(2) as set forth in the Ohio Administrative Code 901:5-31-01 as follows:
      (1)    "Prohibited noxious weeds":
         A.    Field bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis L.)
         B.    Quackgrass (Agropyron repens L. (Beauv.))
         C.    Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense L. (Scop.))
         D. .   Johnsongrass (Sorghum halpense L. (Pers.))
         E.    Hoary cress (Cardaria draba L. (Desv.))
         F.    Hairy whitetop (or ballcress) (Cardaria Pubescens C.A. Mey. (Rollins))
         G.    Perennial sowthistle (Sonchus arvensis L.)
         H.    Russian knapweed (Centaurea picris Rydb.)
         I.    Leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula L.)
         J.    Hedge bindweed (Convolvulus septum L.)
      (2)    "Secondary noxious weeds":
         A.    Dodder (Cuscuta spp. (Tourn) L.)
         B.    Horsenettle (Solanum carolinese L.)
         C.    Corncockle (Agrostemma githago L.)
         D.    Wild garlic (Allium vineale L.)
         E.    Wild onion (Allium canadense L.)
         F.    Curly dock (Rumex crispus L.)
         G.    French weed (Thlaspi arvense L.) ]
         H.    Buckhorn (Plantago lanceolata L.)
   (b)    "Rank vegetation" means plants which, when left uncut, produce an excessive growth. (Ord. 37-89. Passed 5-1-89.)
