Except insofar as the application thereof is clearly impractical or inappropriate, in view of the context or purposes thereof, all of the definitions, requirements, regulations, prohibitions, provisions and sections of the Illinois vehicle code as amended, are by reference adopted as ordinance definitions, requirements, regulations, prohibitions, provisions and sections of the village vehicle code. Any and all violations of 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-101 to 5/20-402, inclusive, as amended shall be considered violations of this chapter and each such violation shall subject the violator thereof to the penalty provisions of this chapter; and the section numbers of the Illinois motor vehicle code are adopted as section numbers of the ordinance codified in this chapter and may be cited as such.
