It shall be unlawful to operate or carry on the business of keeper of a junk shop, store or place for the purchase or sale of junk, rags, old rope, paper or bagging, old iron, brass, copper or empty bottles or the purchase of such junk without having first obtained a license therefor as is hereinafter provided.
