Floating Holiday
B. Floating Holidays: Floating holidays may be birthdays or another day, with the approval of the department head. When a birthday falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday (assuming they are not regular work days), the employee may have the next day off. If two (2) employees from the same department have birthdays that fall on the same day, only one employee may take the day off. Who shall have the day off will be determined by chance. The other employee shall take the next day off or another day that meets with the approval of the department head. (Ord. 2018.20, 4-15-2019; amd.
