A license shall not be required of establishments or individuals where persons engage in massage, massage therapy, or similar practices and are not required to obtain a massage therapist license under Illinois law. This shall include, but not be limited to, certain medical practitioners such as those individuals identified by subsections (b) and (c) of Section 25 (Exemptions) of the Massage Licensing Act, 225 ILCS 57/25(b) and (c). Further, a license shall not be required of any individuals who perform massage therapy as certified massage therapists through conducting a home occupation as defined by the Unified Development Ordinance of the City of Sycamore.
