Any person performing work under this title shall take out and maintain during the construction or repair of the project such liability and property damage insurance as shall protect him, the city and the city's representatives from claims from liability and property damages which may arise from said construction or repair. The city shall be furnished certificates of insurance issued by the companies carrying the risk, which said certificates shall be in form and substance satisfactory to and approved by the city.
