§ 52.018 BUILDING SEWER PERMITS.
   (A)   Permit; required.
      (1)   No unauthorized person shall uncover, make any connections with or opening into, use, alter or disturb any public sewer or appurtenance without first obtaining a written permit from the Superintendent or his or her designated representative.
      (2)   This permit may be obtained only by the owner or a licensed plumbing contractor and must be approved by the Superintendent or his or her representative prior to being issued.
      (3)   No permit shall be issued to any applicant with a past due account with the town.
      (4)   New connections (sewer tap) requires a fee paid to the town before any permit is approved per the Sewer Rate Ordinance.
   (B)   Permit; classes; application.
      (1)   There shall be two classes of building sewer permits: one for residential and commercial service; and one for service to establishments producing industrial waste. In either case, the owner or a licensed contractor shall make application on a special form furnished by the municipality.
      (2)   The permit application shall be supplemented by any plans, specifications or other information considered pertinent in the judgment of the Superintendent.
