§ 91.02 LIMITATION ON KEEPING CERTAIN ANIMALS.
   (A)   No person shall place or keep any of the following animals with the limits of the town: any hoofed animals, including, but not limited to equine (horses, mules), porcine (pigs), bovine (cattle), sheep or goats. This section shall not apply to ducks, geese, chickens or swans, which are confined in an owner’s yard containing a pond or other water area.
   (B)   Any chicken confined in an owner’s yard shall satisfy the following requirements:
      (1)   Limit the number of chicken(s) to no more than ten per dwelling place;
      (2)   No roosters shall be allowed;
      (3)   Make application and obtain a permit from the Clerk/Treasurer for an amount that shall be set by the Town Council from time to time each year payable to the town. The application shall be in a form and substance created by the Town Clerk;
      (4)   All chickens shall be completely enclosed in a coop with a total enclosed space of at least five square feet per chicken. The coop shall contained fenced walls and roof;
      (5)   No free-range chickens shall be allowed; and
      (6)   The dwelling owner shall consent to inspection of the coop at the time of making application for the permit.
