For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUILDING INSPECTOR. The person appointed by the City Council or the City Manager to inspect building activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, permits, and ordinances. The term includes the Code Enforcement Officer.
BUILDING OFFICIAL. The person appointed by the City Council or the City Manager to receive and review registration applications and ensure compliance with this chapter. The term may include Code Enforcement Officer.
CITY. The City of Sweeny, an incorporated home rule municipality located in Brazoria County, Texas, its agents and employees.
PERSON. Any human individual or corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision, agency, business trust, estate trust, partnership, association, or any other legal entity.
