282.14 SERVICE INCREMENT BENEFIT.
   An officer who completes a twenty-sixth year of service and retires after January 1, 2013 shall receive a service increment added to his or her pension in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month of pension benefit for each year of completed service in excess of twenty-five years of service, to the maximum allowable benefit under Act 89 of 2005 of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per month for an additional five years of service.
