The Public Safety Committee of Council shall have general supervision of the Police Department, its efficiency and the qualifications of the members thereof as to the manner in which they discharge their duties. These powers shall be subject, however, to the powers of control given to the Mayor in the Borough Code or elsewhere in these Codified Ordinances.
