§ 30.05 VILLAGE SOLICITOR.
   (A)   The compensation of the Village Solicitor shall be determined annually or biannually by ordinance at the discretion of Council.
   (B)   Retained services are defined to include:
      (1)   Attendance at all regularly scheduled Council meetings;
      (2)   Drafting and/or review of routine ordinances; and
      (3)   Office and/or telephone conferences with village officials.
   (C)   (1)   The compensation payable to said Village Solicitors for all services other than retained services performed shall be determined annually or biannually by ordinance at the discretion of Council and will be payable upon presentation to and approval by Council of monthly itemized statements.
      (2)   Non-retained services are defined to include:
         (a)   Attendance at any special meeting of Council or committee meeting by request;
         (b)   Services relating to the representation of the village in pending or threatened litigation where the village is a party in all courts except Fulton County Court, Eastern Division;
         (c)   Services relating to the researching, drafting and/or filing of real estate instruments;
         (d)   Services relating to the research and drafting of legal opinions upon request;
         (e)   Services relating to the preparation and/or review of contracts, leases or other legal documents; and
         (f)   Services relating to research and preparation of extraordinary legislation, i.e., special assessments, eminent domain, annexations or Charter.
