Whenever a bill for sewer services remains unpaid for 30 days after it has been rendered, the village may file with the Recorder of Deeds, St. Clair County, Illinois a statement of lien claim. This statement shall contain the service address and parcel number of the premises served, the amount of the unpaid bill, plus filing fees, and notice that the village claims a lien for this amount as well as for all charges for sewer service subsequent to the period covered by the bill.
