§ 35.099 RESERVING THE PUBLIC MEETING ROOM.
   The public meeting room located in Fire House Number 2 may be reserved under the following conditions.
   (A)   Pursuant to the rules set forth by the corporate authorities of the village, the use of the premises is hereby expressly limited to recreational and educational purposes only. It is expressly prohibited to use the premises to conduct religious or political activities.
   (B)   The Village Fire Department shall verify residency by requiring the person making said reservation to submit a copy of his or her driver’s license or other acceptable form of identification, or by requiring the company or organization to submit a letter, on their letterhead, authorizing the reservation.
   (C)   (1)   Reservation requests shall be made in writing on forms provided by the Village Fire Department, and no reservation shall be assured until a formal request is made and approved by the Department.
      (2)   No reservation shall be taken over the phone.
   (D)   Should two reservation requests by submitted for the same day, the first such request submitted to the village shall be given first consideration.
   (E)   (1)   Only one person will be issued a temporary access code in order to enter the building. All access after-hours meetings (after 4:30 p.m. on regular business days) will be the west side door only. There will be no exceptions. The access code will expire at the conclusion of the meeting.
      (2)   All equipment or other belongings must be removed at the end of the meeting.
      (3)   The village may require an indemnity bond to guard from any liability of any kind or character determined to be necessary to protect the village from loss or damage.
