The Village Fire Department, with the advice and consent of the Village Board of Trustees, is authorized to enter into mutual aid agreements with neighboring fire districts or municipalities owning fire apparatus. No apparatus or equipment shall aid a municipality or district unless an agreement is on record. Such aid and assistance to another municipality or district shall not jeopardize the fire protection within the village. The Fire Chief in coordination with the Village Board shall cause the mutual aid agreements to be reviewed and updated annually.
