(A) The owner of any rental unit covered by this chapter shall be available to respond, if requested, within 24 hours if there has been an activity that would be a cause for eviction.
(B) This requirement may be met by maintaining an operating business or owner residence within 50 miles of the village, or by use of a local landlord or managing agent who resides within 50 miles of the village, either of whom can be contacted within 24 hours.
(C) If a local landlord or managing agent is used, the owner shall identify the landlord or managing agent on the rental property registration form.
(D) In the event a managing agent no longer provides services to a rental unit, the managing agent shall provide the village with written notification. Should a managing agent become non-responsive, the village shall contact the property owner to request current managing agent information.
(E) A post office box, e-mail address, mailing address or long-distance, toll-free phone number (e.g., 800 numbers) shall not be deemed sufficient to meet the provisions of this section.
