(A) Every full-time permanent employee of the village shall be entitled to three days leave, with pay, in the event of the death of a member of the employee’s immediate family. Such leave should be taken within five days of conclusion of services unless extenuation circumstances apply as determined by the employee’s supervisor.
(B) For the purpose of this section,
IMMEDIATE FAMILY includes: wife, son, stepson, mother, brother, grandmother, stepfather, husband, daughter, stepdaughter, father, sister, grandfather, stepmother, any of the above as in-law relation.
(C) Employees may use posted sick leave as funeral leave in the event of the death of a family member not specified above.
