Whenever the nuisance officer or designated official of the governing body shall determine that any building or structure in the village is an unsafe building, the written determination shall be filed with the Village Clerk-Treasurer. The Village Clerk-Treasurer shall thereupon serve the owner and occupant of the premises notice as stated in § 91.20. The violator is given 30 days to remedy the nuisance. The Clerk-Treasurer shall also cause the property to be posted of the violation and shall file a copy of such determination in the office of the County Register of Deeds. If the unsafe building or structure is an immediate danger to the health, safety or general welfare of any person or persons, and the owner fails to remedy the situation in a reasonable time after notice, the village may summarily repair or demolish and remove such building or structure.
