§ 51.11 DEAD ANIMALS.
   All dead animals shall be removed and buried, or otherwise disposed of in a manner that will not endanger the health of any resident of the village, by the owner of such animals within 12 hours after death occurs. If the owner of such animal does not take the appropriate measures within the required time, the village may dispose of the animal, in which case the owner of the animal shall be liable for the costs of removal and disposal. When disposal is accomplished by burying, the animal shall be buried at least two feet deep. It shall be unlawful for a dead animal to be placed in an approved receptacle or disposed of in the village landfill.
