The provisions of this subchapter shall not apply to dogs defined under G.S. § 67-4.1(b), nor shall the provisions of this subchapter be construed to prevent an animal owner from engaging in a legal sporting activity on the lands of another person provided proper permission has been granted by the owner of the property.
