The height of a sign shall be measured from the highest point of a sign to the point of ground surface beneath it. Ornamentation such as caps, spires, and finials shall not extend more than two (2) feet from the top of the sign. The maximum height for signs is sixteen (16) feet unless specifically denoted in this ordinance. See section 6.2 for an example on how to measure the sign height.
