§ 38.06 PLACEMENT OF SIGNS.
   The owner, lessee or other person in charge of a public place shall place a reasonably-sized sign or signs, visible at each entrance to the premises, notifying persons entering the premises that smoking is prohibited and that violation of the prohibition is an offense punishable by a fine not to exceed $200. This requirement shall not apply to public streets and sidewalks, but the city is authorized to post signs in any right-of-way providing notice that smoking is prohibited on any street or sidewalk.
