§ 98.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ANTIQUE AUTO. A passenger car or truck that is at least 25 years old.
   COLLECTOR. The owner of one or more antique or special interest vehicles, who collects, purchases, acquires, trades, or disposes of special interest or antique vehicles or parts of them for personal use in order to restore, preserve, and maintain an antique or special interest vehicle for historic interest.
   DEMOLISHER. A person whose business is to convert a motor vehicle into processed scrap or scrap metal or to otherwise wreck or dismantle a motor vehicle.
   JUNKED VEHICLE.
      (1)   Any motor vehicle, as defined in Tex. Transportation Code, Chapter 683, Subch. E., as amended, that:
         (a)   Is self-propelled; and
         (b)   Is:
            1.   Wrecked, dismantled or partially dismantled, or discarded; or
            2.   Inoperable and has remained inoperable for more than:
               A.   Seventy-two consecutive hours, if the vehicle is on public property; or
               B.   Ninety consecutive days, if the vehicle is on private property.
         (c)   Does not have lawfully attached to it:
            1.   An unexpired license plate; and
            2.   A valid motor vehicle inspection certificate.
      (2)   An aircraft that does not have lawfully printed on the aircraft an unexpired federal aircraft identification number registered under the Federal Aviation Administration aircraft registration regulations in 14 C.F.R. Part 47; or
      (3)   A watercraft that:
         (a)   Does not have lawfully on board an unexpired certificate of number; and
         (b)   Is not a watercraft described by Tex. Parks and Wildlife Code, § 31.055.
   MOTOR VEHICLE. A motor vehicle subject to registration under the Certificate of Title Act (Tex. Transportation Code, Ch. 501), except that, for purposes of this chapter, MOTOR VEHICLE includes a motorboat, outboard motor, or vessel subject to registration under Tex. Parks and Wildlife Code, Ch. 31.
   SPECIAL INTEREST VEHICLE. A motor vehicle of any age that has not been altered or modified from original manufacturer's specifications, and because of its historic interest, is being preserved by hobbyists.
   STORAGE FACILITY. A garage, parking lot, or any type of facility or establishment for the servicing, repairing, storing, or parking of motor vehicles.
