Any person who shall continue any violation beyond the time limit provided for in § 51.998, in addition to other penalties provided for herein, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, shall be fined in an amount not less than $100 and not exceeding $500 for any violation. Each day in which any such violation shall continue shall be deemed a separate offense.
