These land subdivision regulations are adopted and shall be invoked to provide for harmonious development of the City and its environs; to coordinate streets within subdivisions with other existing or planned streets or with other features of the City of Sunland Park Comprehensive Plan and of the territory lying within three (3) miles of the City; to provide for adequate open spaces for traffic, recreation, drainage, light and air; and to provide for a distribution of population and traffic which will tend to create conditions favorable to health, safety, convenience, prosperity or general welfare.
