5-2-5: ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER:
The governing body of the city shall delegate the powers, authority, duties and responsibilities set out in section 5-2-6 to the animal control officer, municipal police, or any duly authorized designee appointed by the mayor, with the consent of the governing body, to protect the citizens of the city and their property.
