(a) A single family residential property owner’s responsibility for maintenance, repair, and restoration following repair of building sewers/sewer laterals shall extend from the property owner’s residence to the sewer main or the edge of the street pavement in the direction of the sewer main, whichever comes first. The Municipality shall be responsible for maintenance, repair, and restoration of single family residential building sewers/sewer laterals from the edge of the pavement to the sewer main, where applicable.
(b) Commercial, industrial, or multi-family property owners shall be responsible for maintenance, repair, and restoration following repair of the building sewer/sewer lateral the whole distance from the structure being served to the place of connection with the main public sewer.
