339.12 ENGINE BRAKING/EXHAUST BRAKE SYSTEMS.
   (a)   No person shall apply an engine brake and/or use an exhaust brake system, a practice commonly known as “jake braking” when operating a motor vehicle upon a street or highway within the municipality in such a manner that the use of said brakes is likely to cause excessive noise and thus inconvenience or annoy persons of ordinary sensibilities.
   (b)   Whoever violates this action is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
