139.39 FUNERAL LEAVE.
   Any eligible employee may be granted paid funeral leave upon approval of the department head for a maximum of 24 scheduled consecutive working hours in the event of a death of an immediate family member. For purposes of this policy, the "immediate family" is defined as only: mother, father, step-parent, child, step-child, spouse, or any other blood relative residing in the employee's household. In the event of death to the employee's mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, spouse's grandparent, grandchild, sister, brother and spouse's sibling, the employee is entitled to paid funeral leave upon approval of the department head for a maximum of 24 scheduled consecutive working hours.
